This is the official soundtrack for Masked Productions' 2015 production of Patrick Marber's 'Closer', directed by Dan Chasemore. The harsh reality of the four main characters is offset by the sparse, mostly optimistic music to help ease the progression of each scene in the play and to bring out the good side of these otherwise arguably, unfavourable characters. Simplicity and thematic unity are key to each little segment used to join scenes, scored for piano, strings, double-bass, acoustic guitar and drums.
